“Bird in Flight” is a mid-century abstract tabletop sculpture by the renowned design studio Curtis Jeré. Made for Artisan House around the late 1960s to 1970s, it features a torch-cut mixed-metal bird with an aged patina, set on a heavy striated stone base of quartz or marble. “Curtis Jeré” was the shared pseudonym of artists Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels. The duo became famous for their iconic metal home decor pieces from that era.
